Yokohama Tire Philippines Co., Ltd. was awarded the Comprehensive Excellence Award

(Tokyo) - Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. today announced that as a group company of Yokohama Rubber, Yokohama Tire Philippines Co., Ltd. (YTPI) accepted the comprehensive award from Clark Development Corporation (CDC) on July 13, 2009. Outstanding honor. YTPI is the first international company to enter the Clark Special Economic Zone. It has contributed to the investment, employment, environmental management, labor safety and health of the special economic zones for many years and has been highly praised. At the awarding ceremony, Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, as an honorary guest, presented the commendation certificate to YTPI Chairman Shibuya Hiroshi.

The award was given to publicly reward those companies that have entered the Clark Special Economic Zone in Luzon, northern Manila, with excellent business performance and contributed to the local economic development. The CDC screened more than 50 participating companies and awarded three companies (including the YTPI) Comprehensive Excellence Awards.
